The parish church of Sant Bartomeu. Built Before 1236, it has been modified several times during the past centuries. Nowadays the main structure is baroque (1688-1733), the church tower is neo-gothic and the façade is modernist designed buy the architect Joan Rubio in 1904. Going around the church, the visitor can admire the remains of the romanic porches and windows as well as the fortified walls from the 16th century.

The bank of Sóller. It was founded in 1889 with the money of emigrants who had returned to Sóller. The building, which is of modernist style was constructed by the architect Joan Rubió in 1912. The bank is remarkable for its the roof structure, its main entrance with its arch and its forgediron windows.

La posada of Can Prohom. “La Posada” is a residence in the city where the Majorcan landlords from this part of the island stayed. Its civil baroque structure of solid style and bare decoration is typical of the 18th century.

House of la Lluna. It is a perfect example of the popular architecture of the 15th century and is decorated with bas-relief in the shape of the moon.

La posada de Montcaire. This small residential palace is an example of the architectural product of the transition from the civil baroque architecture to the neo-classic which took place at the end of the 18th century. The visitor should pay special attention to the overhanging roof with its tiles painted in red and white with geometric, vegetable or anthropomorphic designs.

De la Sang church. A plain solid neo-classical temple built during the years 1564-1572 on the remains of the original chapel. It is dedicated to the Christ De La Sang, represented by a polychromatic statue of 1556 and to the image of “La Mare de Déu de la Victòria”.

Can Prunera. The house has one of Sóller’s most artistic and elaborate façades in modernist style built between 1909 and 1911. The visitor should pay special attention to the details in stone, wood and forged iron that decorate the building.

The municipal market. The market, planned by the architect Francesc Cerdó, was inaugurated in 1952. It has a polygonal floor and a porch around the building which has several entrances. It is worth taking a look inside.

Can Nou. The avenue “Cristòfol Colom” is bordered by gardens and follows the bed of the Major torrent, which vas covered en 1912. The modernist building “Can Nou” with its small tower, large windows with blinds and a veranda is situated on the left hand side of this avenue.

Casal de Cultura museum. A modest family home with a garden built in 1740 which is now used as an ethnological museum. We recommend a visit of half an hour or so.

Gran Via. This is the avenue where the most important private houses of the modernist and regional historical style are situated. The visitor will find here the cultural centre “Can Dulce”.

The old town-centre. Streets like Vicari Pastor, Murta, Cristòfol Pizá and Sant Antoni are the best examples of the old town centre. Away from the traffic noise the spectator con observe the different stages of urban development of the last 300 years.

Plaça d’Espanya. The square vas created at the end of the 19th century and enlarged in 1912 when the mayor torrent was covered. The visitor will find here the monument to the Spanish Civil War excombatants (1940), a Gabriel Alomar work.

The railway station. The formerly fortified property of Can Mayol (1606) was transformed into a railway station during the years 1911-1912. On the front wall the visitor can see the memorial stone dedicated to the founder of the railway company of Sóller, Jeroni Estades.

Sagrats Cors convent. Walking from the plaça d’Espanya along the Isabel II street the visitor can admire the senorial houses in modernist and regional style. At the end of the street is the Convent of Sagrats Cors (18th century) with a cloister and a church built in baroque style.

Museum of Natural Sciences of the Balearic Islands and Sóller Botanic Garden. This small modernist palace was fitted out as a museum of science in 1985. It offers permanent and tempory exhibitions relative to Majorcan’s zoology, botany and geology. The botanic garden has an important collection of endemic plants from Majorca and from the other Mediterranean islands as well as from the Canaries Islands.

The graveyard. The graveyard of Sóller is like a real garden full of lowers and plants; it is decorated with beautiful statues of great artistic value. The compound was consecrated in the year 1814.

Biniaraix. The village of Biniaraix is situated 1,2 km away from Sóller at the foot of the path that leads to the Barranc. It is one of the most pleasant spots in the valley of Sóller. It offers a beautiful view of the valley and still keeps the typical structure and atmosphere of a mountain village.

The parish of Sant Ramon. Begun in 1938, the inside nave is single and has four pieces, divided by aimed arcs from the basis. Remarkable are the lateral altarpieces.

The suburb of Santa Caterina. A typical kernel of seamen population, with very elevated streets.

The Tower Picada. Defence and watching tower, erected between 1614 and 1623 to prevent the pirates attacks.
